Product designer with over 7 years of experience in design and content creation, my passion is to create accessible and intuitive designs that add true value to users. My specialism is working with non-profits to design products that align with their mission and values.

Senior Product Designer (Secondment, Managerial)
at Citizen's Advice

Led complete UI redesign for our remote phones platform including:

  • Desk research for requirements

  • Prototyping for testing (Figma) + conducting test sessions

  • Liaising with external developers to communicate designs

  • Design system development for future designer

  • Facilitation of workshops with stakeholders

  • Reviewing all new designs to ensure WCAG 2.2 compliant

2021 - 2023

Product Designer
at Citizen's Advice

  • Analysing user research to identify pain points and future improvements for our client record system.

  • Contributing to, and maintaining our design system.

  • Creating new user flows with improved features and UI.

  • Created end to end journey to reduce write up time for advisers by 50%.

  • Redesigned commonly used pages on our public facing website including our energy suppliers comparison table.

  • Led ideation session, design critics, retro and sprint evalautions.

2022 - Present

Director of Catherine Tramontan Ltd

  • Content creation for clients including the NHS.

  • Using my specialist knowledge in harmful practices (including FGM, cultural competencies and abuse related to faith/belief) to build story boards and scripts for video content.

  • Create educational animations to train frontline professionals. 

2019 - 2021

Digital Project Manager
at The Children's Society

  • Creating functional teams of developers, researchers and data specialists.

  • End to end product life cycle experience. From ideation sessions, to prototype development (using Adobe XD), testing and delivery

  • Writing to secure funds for new products including budget

  • Projects included: e-learning platforms, wellbeing app (IOS) and a MVP Crisis Support Portal (Web)

Digital Programme Lead
at Barnardo's

  • Maintenance and content creation for public facing website including video and written content.

  • Development and design of the aware winning FGM Assessment Tool, including securing funding.

  • Training health, education, police and social workers from 10 to 500.

  • Development and design of resources for families including leaflets, animations and guidance.

2015 - 2017

Family Support Specialist
at Barnardo's

  • Working frontline to tackle FGM including assessing girls at risk, supporting families and survivors, engaging communities and training professionals around the topic and how to safeguard girls. 

  • Supporting families who were being returned to their home country after failed asylum or visa claims. Working with parents to prepare for their return including safety planning and helping children transition from life in the UK to a new life.

Agile Project Management APMG 

Practitioner & Foundation

Completed Foundation and Practitioner level. 

This course showed me how to apply the underpinning philosophy and principles of DSDM in a project situation. I covered the roles and responsibilities and understand the mechanisms for control of an Agile project. I can now  apply a number of techniques in a project situation and appropriately configure its lifecycle to a given scenario.

Service Design and Innovation

University of Arts London

3 day intensive course

Immersive learning experience, working in multidisciplinary teams on live briefs, problem-solving, co-designing and prototyping solutions. The three days focussed on using service design tools from Design to Delivery  to "Reduce food waste within urban households".

Beginner and intermediate UX/UI

CityLit

The into provided a holistic insight into the world if UX/UI, covering personas, ideation, usability testing, user journeys and more. The intermediate course provided further exposure to the world of UX/UI introducing concepts such as cognition and technology, ideas and solution generation, accessibility guidelines and information architecture.

Exploring the lives of children from pre-birth to 19, my degree gave me an insight into the way children and young people interact with the world and their place in various contexts. Covering the legal, psychological, human rights, health, development and sociological perspectives of childhood. ​
